Activities

To start your 4 Days Tsavo East Amboseli& SaltLick Tour, you will drive toBachuma Gate and embark on a game drive into the this largest Tsavo East National Park. Give a rest to your journey at Aruba Dam and the Kanderi Swamp to witness the high concentration of animals like lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetah, antelopes, zebra, and giraffe among many other animals. After lunch and a short rest at the full board lodge/camp, you will head to another session of an afternoon game viewing drive within the Tsavo East national park till evening.

After an early breakfast on the next day, you will leave the park with game drive viewing en-route to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. You will have the next session of your game drives on this magnificent Amboseli and on the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in search of flora and fauna and plenty of plains game until sunset in the expansive Amboseli plains. Amboseli and Kilimanjaro offer lots of scenic background for wildlife and nature photography. Meet the local Masai community in their village and learn about their tradition.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is a privately-owned wildlife sanctuary well-known for an array of wildlife and great diversity of birdlife along with the famous Salt Lick Game Lodge. Day 1 – Mombasa / Tsavo East – 2 hrs drive

You will be picked up from the hotel in the morning and depart for your 4-day safari tour to Amboseli and Saltlick beginning with Tsavo East National park which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man historical eating lions. You will enter into the park through the Buchuma Gate and embark on game drive viewing upon entry. You will also visit Aruba Dam and the Kanderi Swamp area where a high concentration of animals like lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetah, antelopes, zebra, giraffe among many others may be seen. Lunch at the Lodge/Camp. After lunch and a short rest at the lodge/camp, you will go for another session of game drive viewing within the Tsavo East national park till late. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp

 

Day 2 – Tsavo East / Amboseli – 5hrs drive

Early breakfast then leaves the park with game drive viewing en-route to Amboseli National Park Arrive in time for lunch. You will check-in at Lodge/Camp, enjoy lunch and rest. Afternoon game drive viewing for animals within the park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Animals likely to be seen are lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetah, antelopes, zebra, giraffe among many others. Kilimanjaro also offers a scenic background for animal photography. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.

 

Day 3 – Amboseli / Saltlick – 6 hrs drive

An early breakfast followed by a game drive viewing en-route as you leave the Amboseli National Park. Lunch at a stop-over restaurant then Departs to Taita Hills Sanctuary. An afternoon game viewing en route to the Saltlick Lodge, Salt Lick is a truly unique architectural concept, with luxurious oval-shaped rooms overlooking a waterhole which attracts a large number of wildlife especially the elephants. In the evenings the animals gather at the waterhole-a spectacular sight to behold to drink at the watering hole. Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Lodge.

Day 4 – Saltlick/Mombasa – 3 hrs drive

Pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and proceed for a morning game drive in search for lions, buffalo, elephants, giraffe, zebra, antelopes, monkeys among many other animals. Lunch at Taita Hills Lodge. After lunch depart for Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon.
